A Gerald Ford Legacy: Newest Victim of the Bank Meltdown?

Priced [Not] To Move    ford-on-the-move-time-cover.jpg

Gerald Ford property speculator Kevin Hayes appears to be one of the silent victims of America’s unfolding banking tragedy,  as Wall Street’s giant sucking sound diminishes the supply of marks willing to pay $15 million so they may walk the pool tiles where Gerry trod. ford-colorado-pool.JPG

Hayes has been trying to unload Ford’s former Colorado ski property since June.  It’s only been shown to four qualified buyers, and he is trying increasingly desperate efforts to recapture that Ford Era magic.

With the materials at hand, Hayes paints a portrait of the great man in retirement, at work on his memoirs:

Ford had a habit of rocking back and forth while writing, and so Hayes had the construction workers preserve a portion of the floor where the chair left grooves.”

Sadly, Ford published his autobiography in 1979, four years before the house was built.

Hollywood Takes A Bold Stance Against Richard Nixon!

Kick Him Again -  Harder, Harder!    nixon-1950-senate-campaign.jpg

When Hollywood wants to send a message they reach for a reliable punching bag, and nobody takes a hit like Richard Nixon!

Robert Redford and other luminaries will gather for a reading of the play  “Don’t Blame Me, I Voted For Helen Gahagan Douglas,” a salute to the “Pink Lady” nixon-helen-gahagan-douglas-poster.jpg  trampled in Nixon’s climb to the Senate.

A little beside the point after all these decades, but it feels so good they can’t help themselves.

No Matter The Answer, The Question Is Nixon!

Taking Nixon’s Name In Vain   khalid-sheikh-mohammed-court-drawing.jpg

Guantanamo resident Khalid Shaikh Mohammed has a problem.  His captors have no intention of ever releasing him, he craves martyrdom in a jerry-rigged court system which may not be able to deliver, and he feels the courtroom artist drew his nose too large.Mohammed’s response has been to take over his own courtroom defense, and of course blaming Jews.

In the course of trying to impeach  Guantanamo trial judge Ralph H. Kohlmann, Mohammed somehow got around to renowned anti-Semite Richard Nixon

“ “Mohamed said to Kohlmann:If you were part of Jerry Falwell or Pat Robertson’s group, then you would not be impartial.” He went on: “Even former President Richard Nixon, in a book called —” at which point he was silenced. After close to two minutes in which we saw the courtroom as a mime, the sound came back and the judge explained that the audio feed was cut because the security officer had mistakenly thought that Mohammed was intending to address topics that could not be addressed in open court. We were left wondering what it was about a Richard Nixon book that was now presumptively classified. We’ll likely never know.

Richard Nixon’s Communist Sympathies

 All Our Yesterdays  is.gif

The release of grand jury testimony in the prosecution of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg has strengthened the case that she was convicted on perjured testimony by her brother and sister-in-law, and allowed everyone with a piece of the hot Red Spy action to step forward.

Richard Nixon speaks from the grave to offer his [sort of] condolences for the federal government lying in order to whack only the second woman in US history.

If I had known–if we had known that at the time–if President Eisenhower had known it, he might have taken a different view with regard to her. In other words, tainted evidence, even though a person is totally guilty, is a reason to get him off.

rosenberg-white-house-pickets.jpg

The late red-hunter’s consoling belief in Ethel’s guilt might have been undermined by knowledge the prosecution invented Rosenberg  typing documents passed the Soviets.

Nixon stayed strong.

I understand why it was done. And let us understand–Mrs. Rosenberg was guilty. This wasn’t a case of somebody not guilty going to the chair.

Phew!

Obama=Nixon: Palin Hack Attack Cover-up Lowdown

If Jokes Could Track?  obama-nixon.jpg

The Coltons Point Times is unafraid to link the Palin email breakin to the toxic legacy of the Nixon era, breathlessly inquiring if Obama did it.

The evidence:  lack of original thought, and statements of the obvious:

“In watching the various liberal media outlets comment about the stolen emails they used almost the exact words as Obama campaign representatives dismissing the seriousness of the theft and turning attention to the fact Sarah Palin had a private email account. Then insinuating she must have had the account to hide things from the State of Alaska. How stupid is that? Nearly everyone in America has a private email account including most members of the media…Why did the liberal media and the campaign spokespersons have the exact same script? Why did they raise the exact same issue? Why weren’t they outraged by the invasion of privacy? And why did they keep looking at the emails in their possession? If the Obama campaign was involved in the theft or any of these following actions it is the most serious breach of faith possible to the American public and would only demonstrate that a secret agenda must be driving them, one called Big Brother, where the right to privacy will no longer exist.”

Faith in CPT’s iron logic is, shall we say, undercut by his nut-ball flair. His searing indictment starts out”Privacy in America is guaranteed by the Constitution… ”

…when of course all true sons of the soil know this “right” was invented by Supreme Court Marxists to allow the proliferation of filthy birth control devices.

We shall await the results of the federal criminal investigation.”   Watch the skies!
