Gerald Ford is another step closer to immortality in the United States Capitol, with the selection of the artist to create a larger than life statue.
Michigan is making room for No-Term Gerry by yanking the state’s statue of Zachary Chandler, a Civil War era Republican senator of real accomplishments.
The unfortunately named University of Missouri “Maneater” reports that professor J. Brett Grill will do the honors, although he seems a little shaky on his Ford facts. Gill says Ford “was one of our only unelected presidents,” but of course Ford was the only unelected president.
