The problem with local governments naming any and all manner of things for Ronald Reagan is that, unlike the cursed federal government, they can’t print money. Someone, somewhere has to pay for the things.

The Gwinnett County Georgia Board of Commissioners is but the latest to discover these harsh facts. In response, they’ve thrown themselves before the magic of the marketplace: If you build it, they will pay.

They want three more miles of the Ronald Reagan Parkway and will be none too fussy who gives it to them – the road operator will have free reign to charge tolls.
