Rebuilding Reagan
The Reagan Presidential Library takes its place at the trough this summer, as Madera Road will be widened from the hilltop shrine to Semi Valley. More than half of the $2.7 million cost will come from federal funds.
America’s titanic struggle over dreaded “pork,” apparently detectable by “earmarks,” featured many stirring calls to block money going to those corrupt presidential libraries.
Watch for Freedom’s Warriors on this one!
Closing Time? Â
Sad news as America recovers from another St. Patrick’s Day.
The Alexandria Virginia pub where Ronald Reagan lifted a beer glass [unclear if he drank any of it] is for sale. The visit launched a thousand “who would you rather have a beer with” presidential polls, climaxing with teetotaler George W. Bush’s win.
Mission Critical
The fate of the Republican Party lies in the hand of a novice museum head, but John Heubusch does not lack confidence. “I’m about to rescue the cause of Reaganism from the jaws of Obamaism,” he vows to the tattered on-line remains of US News & World Report.
Heubusch is the dynamic new honcho of the Reagan Library Foundation. He’s the caretaker of what he calls the “most important Republican brand.”
His sacred cause? “We want to take the principles that Reagan searched for and make them relevant today.”
There’s a new sheriff in town, or the old one is back, Reagan lives…something.
“Ronald Reagan is walking back into town. We want to be the ones who answer the question: What would Reagan do?”
Gipper A Go?
It’s a magical tale that could only be unfolding in America’s Heartland, where small town Republicans await their share of pie. Â Excitement builds in the Land of the Hoosiers, as the Ronald Reagan Parkway may stumble further towards completion with new federal anti-recession funds.
Say what you will, it’s Shovel Ready!
It’s Grover Norquist‘s dream come to life. Â Â
Better Luck Next Time!
“2008 was something of an awkward year for the GOP and conservatives in general.”
From that stirring preamble, Mark Joseph thrills Fox Forum readers with a vision of a more Reagan-ey tomorrow.
Apparently, a child shall lead them, someone so steeped in Reagan lore and legend that they instinctively channel Him, unlike today’s poor imitations.
It’s gonna be great!
